Screening as Part of BFI LOVE

Films to Fall in Love With, Films to Break Your Heart

A series of special film events celebrating some of the most adored love stories in cinematic history will take place across Yorkshire this season, including three Cine North screenings at Masham Town Hall, Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall and Amerdale Hall, Arncliffe.

The immersive film events are taking place as part in BFI LOVE in partnership with Plusnet, a UK wide project which aims to re-kindle audience passions for film and television’s most enduring love stories. Film lovers will be transported back to the 1940s, a decade which gave birth to some of the most memorable romances committed to celluloid, via a series of screening alongside war time era tea dances, a drive-in movie & village halls parties.

Truly an affair to remember, the UK-wide BFI LOVE season includes over 1,000 screenings at 100s of cinemas, special one-off events, new and rare releases on DVD and BFI Player, education events and innovative interactive content across online and social media.
