Enhance Your Film Screening With Fragile Stories

Fri, 5 Oct 2012

Bradford Animation Festival and the National Media Museum Museum are delighted to offer Cine Yorkshire venues the opportunity to screen a selection of beautiful and insightful short films about Yorkshire communities to screen before your regular feature film event.

Each and every person who has moved to Yorkshire to make it their home has a tale to tell and this was the inspiration behind a project  commissioned by the National Media Museum, Bradford Animation Festival and I-Move, Yorkshire’s Cultural Programme for London 2012, to produce a selection of short films about moving to our region. With age and wisdom we have history – stories to tell, knowledge to share. These stories are fragile because they are vulnerable and so easily lost, but they are of huge importance. This project was about capturing and sharing people’s journeys.

World-class animators David Bunting, Jack Lockheart and Zane Whittingham worked with people from Yorkshire’s Polish, Asian, Roma and Carribbean communities, to capture some of these fragile stories.

This resulting package of varied and beautiful short films would make an enriching addition to screen before your feature film event. The films will screen at Bradford Animation Festival 2012 in November but are available for you to book now!
