NT Live launches at Helmsey Art Centre with sell out performance

Mon, 1 Oct 2012

The latest venue to join Cine Yorkshire’s alternative content programme opened with a sell out broadcast of NT Live’s ‘The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time’ on Thursday 6th September. Helmsley Arts Centre is the third North Yorkshire market town to receive support from Cine Yorkshire to install state of the art satellite and digital projection equipment, enabling them to broadcast live performances from around the world by companies such as the National Theatre and Bolshoi Ballet.

The Cine Yorkshire Live programme has been a run away success with local audiences across the county at the venues where it has been established, including Selby Town Hall and Galtres Centre Easingwold. Upcoming events include Bolshoi Ballet’s 'The Pharaoh's Daughter', Royal Opera House’s ‘Swan Lake’ & ‘The Nutcracker’ and NT Live’s ‘Timon of Athens’ & ‘The Last of The Haussmans’. Hambleton Forum in Northallerton will be the fourth North Yorkshire venue to join the programme next month.
